Salvation Is Irrevocable
by Phil Branch

Hello everyone, in my recent studies of Baptism and Salvation I happened across scripture that surely points to the fact that salvation is in fact irrevocable. Being the layperson I am I will not begin to get into the depth of this study. However, I just had to share scripture followed by a beautiful hymn that proclaims that fact. Those saved by the Grace of God have and always will be saved. It is in His plan and it is through His mercy (grace) that we will be with Him for eternity. Nothing, no man, not even Satan can undermine Gods direction for those that have given their lives to Christ, His chosen people.

Romans 8:38,39 King James Version (KJV)
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!
What more can He say than to you He hath said,
To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

"In ev'ry condition— in sickness, in health,
In poverty's vale, or abounding in wealth;
At home or abroad, on the land, on the sea,
As days may demand, shall thy strength ever be.

"Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God, I will still give thee aid;
I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
Upheld by My gracious, omnipotent hand.

"When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
The rivers of sorrow shall not overflow,
For I will be with thee, thy trials to bless,
And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.

"When through fiery trials thy pathway shall lie,
My grace all-sufficient shall be thy supply;
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.

"The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose,
I will not, I will not desert to his foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I'll never, no never, no never forsake!"

                                           Amen
